In the 1700s, Rhode Island looked very little like it does today, and travel by land over long distances was difficult. Only a few intrepid travelers left written accounts of their travels through Rhode Island. Mr. Geake, archivist at the Warwick Historical Society and the author of several books on Rhode Island history, will tell us about the impressions of Rhode Island recorded by Sarah Kemble Knight, Dr. Alexander Hamilton, Rev. Jacob Bailey, and others. The program will be offered on Zoom. To register, send an e-mail to the museum office at pdmoac@aol.com.
