There are Stories Behind These Stones:
A Walking Tour of Elm Grove Cemetery
Timothy Cranston, North Kingstown Town Historian
Elm Grove Cemetery is North Kingstown’s first public cemetery and, at 44 acres and more than 10,000 burials, its largest. People who are buried there lived lives of intrigue, unbearable sorrow, and monumental triumph. Tim Cranston, North Kingstown’s Town Historian, will tell us about some of those people during a walking tour of the cemetery. Elm Grove is at 960 Tower Hill Road. The tour will begin at the southern-most entrance.
